My new family addition made her grand entrance on Wednesday the 20th August at 4:50pm. This is her arrival story.

At 1pm on Tuesday my waters broke. Dh and I dropped Mikayla off at my sisters and went into the hospital so they could confirm that yes they had indeed broken. They told me to go home and come back in at 7:30 on Wednesday morning if nothing had happened as I would be induced. I was assured though that my body was definately ready to go and they were certain they would see me within a couple of hours. They were wrong!
7:30 Wednesday morning I climbed into the car with my DH and off we went to the hospital for me to be induced. After many hours of still NOTHING, this little baby did not want to be a part of the big old world just yet - I mean it was raining!!!
At about 12:15 I finally started getting some contractions - and beleive me they were goodies!
After alot of panting and puffing (and getting very annoyed at the drip line - stupid thing kept catching on everything) my little girl arrived.
I do recall this phone call to my doctor
"Yes she is about to crown" .... "Ok we will see you shortly ... Oh wait no the head is out"
No stitches, no drugs - yep she just slid out (OH HOW I WISH!!!).
With only a boys name in hand - Chris was determined I was having a boy so wouldn't discuss girls name, we then sat down (well chris did I kind of layed half passed out on the bed doing a first feed) with a baby name book and started to go through it.

1. I like blowing bubbles.
2. I have a cat with only half a tail - it got ripped off at a building site.
3. I don't like TimTams unless I am pregnant.
4. I love watching movies and reading books OVER & OVER & OVER again. Sends Chris mad!
5. I am scared of chickens - well come to think about it ALL birds - they freak me out.
6. I am the worlds worst culprit for blowing my nose and leaving the tissue sitting infront of the computer - you think I would just spend the $5 and buy a bin for next to the computer!!!

Another Quilt....

I have finished my (soon to be new to the world) baby's quilt!!

Now if only I could find my camera!!!

I wish my darling hubby was home from work already - I mean seriously what kind of crazy people keep you working after 12 hours!!! Ok so we work for ourselves and he is out on a job - but come on folks MAKE HIM COME HOME!!! Stop giving him work to do!

.... maybe I should go start on another quilt....
